The Apple Press
The Apple Press is my home bindery in Hollywood, California — an imprint comprising my DCP-L2640DW laser printer, my kitchen table, eleven bricks, two 3’×3’ sheets of plywood, and my Mac. I type-set, print, fold, sew, glue, case, deboss, and hand-paint books here, by hand, one at a time.
How I build a book
Every Apple Press book carries a few constants. Each one is marked with a hand-painted apple — a different apple in every copy — and a stamped edition number, beginning with a proof copy (No. 0) followed by the numbered run.
